First Floor Extension and Internal Alterations to Family Home
An existing two bedroom, single storey barn conversion, extended with an additional floor to form a four bedroom family dwelling.
The ground floor was reconfigured to accommodate the staircase and create a more efficient use of the circulation space. A utility room, playroom and wc/shower room were formed, together with an open plan kitchen/diner with views into the courtyard. At first floor, a master suite was created with a Juliet balcony to make the most of the views across the Rutland countryside. An additional three bedrooms and a family bathroom were formed to create a modern family home.
We prepared initial sketches, developed the design and submitted a planning application. Following planning approval, we prepared a full set of technical drawings and works schedule, obtaining building regulations approval and tendering the project on the client’s behalf.
